David is a self taught fine art and documentary photographer based just south of London. He first exhibited his fine art collection 'Modern Vintage' a nostalgic collection of imaged narratives in Paris in 2010. His passion for adventure then saw him become a sought after travel and lifestyle photographer. Now he has turned his focus towards home as a co-founder of Hudsmith Creative Studio. Hudsmith travel Great Britain producing imagery and content for heritage, craft and sustainable brands.
David's interests in photography are eclectic, and his work reflects this in a layered approach to documenting his subjects. David's work often captures the transient nature of time and place, two of his favourite subjects. A gentle quietness envelops even the most frenetic of scenes. It is within this moment of quiet and reflection that he finds the dialogue between the photographer and their subject most intriguing. Thus, his body of work represents an awareness of the power and futility of documentary photography.
